Minimum educational attainment: University Degree
Qualification level: R1
Expertise and qualifications:

• Master's degree in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, biomedicine or related field.
• Practical experience working with cell cultures, ideally including 3D models or organoids.
• Basic knowledge of tissue biology, intercellular matrix (extracellular matrix) and cell-material interactions.
• Orientation in bioengineering or tissue engineering is an advantage.
• Experience with primary cell isolation or working with animal models (e.g. mice) is welcome.
• Experience in characterizing biological properties of materials (microscopy, immunostaining, histology, or gene or protein expression analysis) is an advantage.

Personal prerequisites:

• Interest in interdisciplinary research combining biology and biomaterials development.
• Independence, diligence and ability to design and conduct biological experiments.
• Openness to acquire basic knowledge of materials research (working with hydrogel scaffolds, etc.).
• Ability to work as a team in an environment that combines biology, chemistry and materials science.
• Good command of English (written and verbal), ability to work with scientific literature and present results.
