Research interests: effects of xenobiotics on cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, with emphasis on liver and related tissues; mechanisms and potencies of toxic effects of environmental contaminants involving activation of nuclear receptors and aryl hydrocarbon receptor, generation of oxidative stress, modulation of intercellular communication and impacts on cell signal transduction mechanisms; chemoprevention; cancer therapy
