What was your research journey before joining Sedlackova lab?

I did my Bachelor in Botany and Zoology from Garhwal University, Uttarakhand,
India. During my Bachelors, I was determined to pursue my Masters's in Biology
which led me to Brno. I am doing my Masters's in Molecular and Cell Biology from
Masaryk University. For my Master's thesis, I chose a topic which is related to
DNA replication and the unknown mechanisms it involves. My thesis search found
its way to Sedlackova lab. Since I joined the lab, I have learned a lot of
lab techniques from my fellow lab members and met other people from the
research field. Overall this has been a good experience and I am grateful for
this opportunity.

What are you currently working on? Why do you find your project/work fascinating?

I am currently working on the topic of my Master's thesis to find out the role of specific proteins in DNA replication. I find it fascinating because understanding the basic replication mechanism could help us know the molecular mechanism leading to severe diseases.

What do you do when you are not in the lab?

I like to catch up with my friends, watch a good TV show, admire sunset and
study.
